Calculation and billing of your lawyer's fees

Fees for consultation, assistance, representation, advice and drafting of documents are freely determined by the lawyer in agreement with the client.

After an initial telephone call to understand the nature of the case, an appointment is scheduled in the practice for preliminary consultation.

During this, the client sets out the details of the case as well as any information useful for the understanding of the case. This consultation is charged at €50.00.

If the client decides to entrust the defence of his interests to the firm, this sum is of course deducted from the fees charged.

Depending on the nature of the case, its complexity and its challenges, the Client will be offered three billing methods:

  • The calculation of the fee by time spent on a specific service, the lawyer being required to inform his client of his hourly rate, as well as that of any other persons working on the case, and to indicate as precisely as possible the time he will spend on the case.
  • The fixed fee: in this case the lawyer charges his client a lump sum for the entire service he will perform, and this may not be increased without the consent of his client.
  • Finally, lawyers could agree to be remunerated for his services with an additional results-based fee, which must be precisely determined.

We also provide services under legal aid.
